It was great to see the old girl again today. She is not grey as you might think, but brown in colour. Kate enjoyed the experience while Elija doesn’t realize how lucky he is to see such a creation. It’s pretty special to be able to see it from our hotel balcony. Can’t say I enjoyed the hour wait in line to que for admission was much fun. No pick pockets today although some unsavory characters line the street with parlour tricks and games of spot the ball under the cup. Oh look at that as Toni wanted to stop and look, as I quickly whisked her and Eli away. “The person winning the money” isn’t actually a bystander, but a crowd plant to entice others to partake. While their friends come around behind and pick your pocket thanks very much, but no thanks Mr Frenchman.

Then it was off to fight the crowds at the Note Dame. I really like this building. Maybe because it used to house a fat bell ringer with one hump on his back. I love that character. Anyway, Kate & Toni got excited feeding the pidgeons and having them land on their hand. I said it doesn’t beet Venice and St.Marks square.

Our hotel is in a great spot next to the Metro train station. So I tried a little experiment and left the hotel room this morning without a map, and a railway guide. At least that’s what I’m calling it. As we ended up getting lost and sore feet too. Took an hour out of our day. But at least it was a fun experience.

One more day of sightseeing tomorrow, so we will be hitting the Louvre and the Champs DeEllysey. Will be nice to sit at a café watching the Parisians walk by. Time to take a break with the Nespresso machine in our room. I must say, this Paris trip has been better than the last time I was here 25 years ago. The locals have changed, but we won’t go into that, as it’s another story.
